MEET THE U14 COACHES
ADAMSONS JOINS LIGHTS STAFF
The Lights are proud to announce that Chris Adamsons will coach our 14-1 Major Team.
Chris currently serves as the Taft Girls Hockey Assistant Coach. Chris graduated from Connecticut College with a bachelors in neuroscience and a minor in psychology. He led the Rhinos to a Founders League Championship as the captain of the varsity hockey team in 2017.
STOTT ADDED TO U14 STAFF
The Lights are proud to announce that Jessica Stott has joined the Northern CT Lights staff for the 26-27 season.
Coach Jessie will serve as the Head Coach of the U12 Major team, an Assistant Coach for our U14 program, and as the Director of Player Development for our Lights teams. Her presence and focus will be on player development, which will come both in the form of her working with all of the teams during their practices and with our coaching staff on practice planning and game management.
In addition to her role with the Lights, Jessie has also joined ISCC as a Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Sports Performance Center. Her extensive playing experience gives her a unique perspective in the weight room, allowing her to design and implement training programs that directly translate to on-ice performance. Her hockey background enhances her ability to develop stronger, faster, and more resilient players through sport-specific strength and conditioning.
Jessie grew up playing in Niverville, Manitoba until she completed her U18 season playing prep hockey for the JWHL Balmoral Hall Blazers, and graduating from Shaftesbury HS Prep team. She was selected to Team Manitoba and went on to win a silver medal at Nationals.
She spent the next 4 years playing D1 hockey at UCONN, being named captain and was one of the top shot blockers in Hockey East. After graduating from UConn, she finished off her hockey career playing professionally in Austria.
Upon returning to Canada, Jessie worked in a variety of coaching and player dev. roles, with high level U18, U14 and U12 female teams, while working as the Director of Hockey Dev. for a Hockey Academy in Brandon Manitoba. She created the first female-specific development programs and travel teams in Brandon and worked closely with the community's minor hockey association.
Coach Jessie became the first female in Manitoba to become a Certified Hockey Canada Skills Coach, and worked closely with Hockey Canada to run outreach programs and development camps across Canada.
We are extremely excited to add someone of Coach Jessie's pedigree and expertise to the Lights Program and ISCC.
