Marcus Rogers Scholarship (CT Lights)
Founded immediately following the unimaginable loss of our dear son Marcus, the Marcus Rogers Foundation extends the love, hope and kindness that Marcus created in his young, short life. He was only 16 years old, but in his short time with us, Marcus touched the lives of so many with his kindness, joy, and unwavering spirit.
The Marcus Rogers Foundation has been established to honor Marcus’s memory and continue his legacy of helping others. Through this foundation, we aim to help community kids achieve their dreams within life and sports by offsetting the costs of equipment, and removing roadblocks to greatness. The fund will continue to support and dedicate its love to all the activities and sports organizations and people that helped shape this fun loving, laid back, warm, smart and curious kid. We aim to continue to fund sports leagues, tuition costs for hockey, tuition costs for college, cost of tools for electrical students at Oliver Wolcott School and so much more. It is our hope that this foundation will help create positive change in the world, just as Marcus would have wanted.
Marcus Rogers Memorial Scholarship for CT Lights
Available to Northern CT Lights players ages 8U through 19U, the scholarship award winner(s) may receive up to $2,500 scholarship which will go directly toward their CT Lights tuition.
