First Stride Mites

Has your player graduated from Learn to Skate or the NY Rangers Learn to Play program? We're here to help you find your next step in hockey!

Formerly known as "mini lights", the Northern CT Hockey full season mite house program offers a unique program both with the goal of helping kids of all skill levels improve their hockey and skating skills while also giving them game experiences. Open to girls and boys in birth years 2017 and younger.

The program will take advantage of ISCC's new training rinks (60'x85'), providing your player with a less intimidating ice surface and smaller group training for maximum attention.

Space will be limited to 15 skaters per rink/session!

Two skills practice and one in house scrimmage every week for the 10-week season. Sessions will be held on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. A fall and winter session will be offered.

Session 1:

Session 2:

Don’t worry if stopping is a challenge, we can help with that. Fall from time to time… that’s ok. Need to learn how to stickhandle, pass and shoot?… this is the program for you!

We will work on agility and edges, puck control, passing, shooting twice per week.

Wednesday night and Saturday morning practices. Sunday morning cross ice games.

$ per player / per session

Player jersey is included. Full gear required.
